Travel Tips and Info

Most visitors prefer to fly into the Albuquerque International Sunport and then travel to Santa Fe from there. The distance from the ABQ Sunport and downtown Santa Fe is approximately 68 miles and is predominantly open country.

There are a few alternatives available for getting to Santa Fe, depending on your itinerary and your preferences.


Driving Directions from Albuquerque International Sunport to the Inn and Spa at Loretto
211 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501

Exit Albuquerque International Sunport and follow the signs for I-25 North to Santa Fe. Continue on I-25 North for approximately 63 miles. Take Exit 282 - St. Francis Drive - and turn left on St. Francis Drive. Continue on St. Francis Drive approximately 4 miles and turn right on West Alameda Street.

Remain on West Alameda Street until you reach Old Santa Fe Trail (third light). Turn left on Old Santa Fe Trail, where you will see the entrance to Inn and Spa at Loretto on your right.

Trip should take approximately 60-75 minutes, depending on time of day and Albuquerque and Santa Fe traffic.

Traveling to and from the Albuquerque International Sunport.  Just connect to one of the two shuttles below.  Be sure to use the correct Rail Runner Station to get to your destination.  This mode of transportation takes some extra time but is scenic and enjoyable.  As the runs are somewhat limited, make sure the operating schedules can work for your travel itinerary in both directions.
